Snow In Our Backyard

Standard

Canberra is an excellent place.  It’s one of the most photogenic cities I know of, and I’m lucky enough to live here!

I have posted many pictures of the fantastic scenic spots I’ve wandered through. Yesterdays wander was no exception.

We’ve had some snow falls down south, out Tidbinbilla way, so I jumped in the car and headed towards Corin Forest.

There were some spectacular views along the way.

Gibraltar falls is a very pretty spot, and extremely easy to get to.

But as nice as it is, I wanted to see the snow, so I didn’t stay there long before jumping back into the car.

A couple of minutes later, I got my first glimpse of snow along the side of the road.

I bumped into a friend as I was taking those shots (they also love to explore with their camera) who said that the snow is pretty amazing further along Corin Road.

So I got back into the car, and away I went.

I was pretty happy with what I saw when I got there…

It’s a fun way to spend a few hours, especially if you’ve got kids.

I love getting out & about down that way. It’s one of the many brilliant benefits of living in Canberra.

Be sure to stop in at Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve while you’re out that way too.  The views are spectacular!
