Barcelona Brilliance

Standard

Four weeks in Spain – first stop, Barcelona.

It’s a beautiful & vibrant city with many wonderful sites to explore.

Probably the most well known and most visited site is the The Sagrada Familia (Basílica i Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família).

It’s beautiful and well worth seeing, but make sure to pre purchase your tickets online before you attempt to visit…

It was designed by Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí and is supposed to be completed by 2026.  I much preferred the inside to the outside.

Gaudí also designed Park Güell, a garden complex with architectural elements situated on the hill of El Carmel in the Gràcia district of Barcelona.

It was built between the years 1900 – 1914.  It too is visually striking.

This was a real treat, as the buildings stand in wonderful contrast to the well maintained garden areas.

There are many other sites to see in Barcelona.
